We had fun using the ATV available in the park and were able to explore the surrounding steep hills and trails, plus fitting in our ever- favourite; a picnic with a view.
Shangri-La’s Greenbriar Airbnb was a very comfortable and spacious accommodation nestled within the grounds
On the Monday night, our last, we really did have to search for a restaurant that was open and we were very happy with our discovery of Lulu’s on Main in Sylva. Southern Living’s “Favorite Restaurant in the Region,” “Lulu’s on Main is known for its eclectic flare that reflects the welcoming spirit of Sylva. It has an edgy, retro atmosphere tied together with paintings from many local artists displayed on the walls.” Chef Devin McCardle, who once served as honorary chef for Julia Child’s foundation, The American Institute of Wine & Food, uses his expertise and French culinary training to create a menu featuring a range of vege- tarian, vegan and gluten-free items to suit special diets. We were all happy with our dinner choices, from steak to pork tacos and salads. The town of Sylva was a great find and small-scale enough to really get to know, as well as a good place to relax!
