Pesto Bistro & Wine Bar is cozy, boutique-style restaurant at 8799 Cortez Road West in Bradenton (9410-201-4167). It is located just a couple of miles from historic Cortez Village and Anna Maria Island. It has the privilege of being named “Best New Restaurant of 2021” Reader’s Choice of The Bradenton Herald. With an attractive and warm atmosphere, it features a mouth-watering menu with Italian, French, and Mediterranean influences. Chef/Owner Joe Rimer and his wife Lianne serve a copious amount of delectable dishes like their Gulf Coast Adriatic which features their Chef’s fresh catch (locally sourced) sautéed with kala- mata olives and topped with sun-dried tomato pesto or it can also be sautéed with lemon butter, capers, and Pinot Grigio.
Pesto has a cool outdoor dining area, a cozy bar, a wine room, and a well-spaced main din- ing room. It is an excellent venue to host special din- ners, wedding rehearsals, corporate events, family reunions or just to hang out with a special friend. Catering and home meal deliveries are also available. Live entertainment from various artists are featured on Tuesday and Thursday evenings with a range of local talent.
Pesto also hosts a Wine Down Wednesday for all guests with an all night happy hour and spe- cials on a selection of their wine by the bottle.
