little restaurant has become a beautiful spot to spend both the after- noon for lunch and evening for dinner.
Chef Nate Gorbett has brought many of his favorites in as specials over the few months of being open. Here are some honorable mentions: First, Scallop and Shrimp Linguini, using fresh seafood, home-made pasta and the chef's original pesto cream sauce. Second, a delicious Pork Tomahawk Entree, topped and grilled with a raspberry chipotle barbeque sauce, with the recommended accompaniments of the garlic parmesan mashed potatoes and seasoned asparagus. Third, a Cajun Shrimp and Andouille Entree, as one could imagine, has a deli- cious heat within. This entree is served over rice and the Chef’s signa- ture roasted red pepper cornbread. Owners Josh and his wife Brianna Foster they both aim to provide a memorable dining experience through the highest quality foods, flavors, and service. Together their passion for food and love of the industry has proven that the restaurant business is this couples dream come true.
Being only open from July 2nd 2021 the restaurant has con- tinued to explore avenues to make sure there is always something new and tasty on the menu. With big ambitions behind their menu, they look forward to the upcoming months and years to come, inviting you on their journey.
Serving delicious food every day on Cortez Road West Bradenton, the Sage Biscuit Café at 6656 Cortez Road West (941- 792-3970), has been a very big success. So successful that their second restaurant in downtown Bradenton at 1401 Manatee Avenue West (941-405-4744) is doing the same fantastic business! It is very popular at the downtown location with additional outdoor dining and the same great food served for breakfast and lunch. Congrats to owners Joe and his dad Jose Moreta, and Nicole Praessel. At both restaurants the outdoor dining areas are spacious and very accommodating so no problem with social distancing here. Same inside with proper spacing between tables. Nice to see that business has been very good at both locations, well deserved!
Their concept at the Sage Biscuit Café is serving fresh food, using local ingredients whenever possible and their creativity to distin- guish themselves from the competition. They offer a variety of different dining options such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and indulgent options including gluten-free French toast and pancakes and gluten-free bread as an option for toast or substituted on any of their sandwiches, as well as regular bread.
At both locations enjoy their beer and wine offerings (a nice selection of your faves), including mimosas. They offer a lot of vegetari- an items including homemade Veggie Burgers. The vegan favorites are the Tofu Scramble, Black Bean Soup, Southwestern Skillet and Dan's Golden Bowl. For the more indulgent diner, Sage Biscuit Café offers a selection of Benedicts with "real homemade Hollandaise," and of course sage biscuits with sausage gravy.
You can tell that they have a passion for food and every dish is prepared with pride and respect for the products used. They serve break- fast and lunch everyday. It’s been busy from the day they opened, show- ing that the Sage Biscuit Café is doing their best to fulfill their customers dietary wants, needs and wishes.
