I am !’ Welcome Paul!
Hey, you know the routine...Yes there’s more...
The big news around town is the ‘Big Three’ restaurants sell- ing recently. Ray and D’Arcy Arpke have bought a few season ticket seats in Lambeau Field with the selling of their Euphemia Haye on Longboat Key. Nice that they sold to a employee Amy Whitt who is going to keep things as they have been for all these years. ‘Ain’t broke,

don’t fix it’ is the catch phrase here. Good luck Arpkes and thanks for what you have done over the years...Surprise buy was John and Amanda Horne of the Anna Maria Oyster Bars buying Cafe L’ Europe with owner Ron Milton heading to the links in North Carolina after
trails, communal “pop-up” spaces and a water
village is expected to have more than 5,000 for sale and rent, homes that range from $280,000 to more than $2 million.

Life in Lakewood Ranch is about to get better with the announcement of a Mexican-inspired restaurant and taqueria at Waterside Place. Agave Bandido will be joining the community with a planned opening in late 2022, bringing more than 250 tequilas and mezcals. The 4,000-square-foot restaurant will fea- ture an indoor bar with 2,000 square feet of patio space and an outdoor bar. Also new here is another spin-off from JPan called Kore Steakhouse a Korean restaurant, another Owen’s Fish Camp, Olivia’s Italian, Good Liquid Brewing Company, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, Bella Vita Italian Restaurant, Q & A Coffee (who is also opening in Gulf Gate), Chicken Salad Chick, CROP Juice, Duck Donuts and Kilwins. The Players Centre for Performing Arts will have a 70,000 square foot performing arts center. Lots going on here folks...In UTC Crumbl Cookies is doing a good trade. Have not been to Georgie’s Cafe yet. Any
owning a few years. The Hornes seem intent on keeping things as they have been from what I understand. ‘If it ain’t broke’... Best to them and I wonder if Pearl the remote waitress bot will be making an appearance here?... The Beach Bistro has also sold to attorney Louis Namjay and developer Shawn Kaleta. Owner Sean Murphy and his wife Susan Timmins apparently have had enough after 38 years and the staff is now running the operation with the above owners. Hmmm. Good luck to all and enjoy your time ahead...
Another sale was Cremesh European Restaurant selling as owner Pavel is concentrating on his Cremesh Bakery now. Best to them and the new owners Maria Antel and son Daniel...A sad goodbye to restaurateur Joe Casadio who always seemed to land on his feet in the local real estate restaurant scene. Joe always lived his life to the fullest and love his sailing in his homeland Portofino. His recent restaurant was 15 South on St. Armands as well as the mega-hit Gastronomia from way back amongst other ventures. Ciao Guiseppe...
On a personal note another sad goodbye to the amazing Opthamologist Dr. William Lahners of Center For Sight who helped me with his LASIK surgery years ago along with hundreds of others. Giving this gift of sight was a miracle to me and I am sure many others. Gone to soon at 53...

Vinny’s Italian Kitchen in Holmes Beach. In Anna Maria city the new Grub has opened under the ownership of Ben Sato who loves to cook and is doing some wonderful tropical barbecue on Pine Avenue. Mademoiselle Paris has expanded to a third loca- tion on Marina Drive with their charming pastry and lite bites shop in what was My AMI. Graze Street AMI has open their breakfast lunch spot on East Bay Drive, Holmes Beach. Busy, busy out here as tourists are everywhere and driving those golf carts!
In Bradenton Beach Mr. Bones has left us but will soon be replaced by Double Dee a Chicago-style hot dog joint.
